Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about wellness technologies, equipment selection, financing, delivery and support.
Choosing equipment and requesting a quote
How do I choose the right wellness technology for my space?
Start with your intended use, the people who will use the equipment, available space, utilities and operating requirements. Share those details when requesting a quote or consultation so the discussion can focus on suitable models and configurations rather than choosing by appearance alone.
How do I request pricing for a specific device?
Use the Request a Quote button on the device page. The device-page form identifies the model, and Hyperbaric enquiries also identify the selected configuration. Add your location and intended use so the enquiry includes the context needed to discuss the equipment.
Why are Hyperbaric prices not listed online?
Ethos provides Hyperbaric pricing by request rather than publishing prices in the collection. Request a quote for the model and configuration you are considering, and ask for equipment, freight, installation and any optional services to be identified separately.
Can I speak with someone before requesting a quote?
Yes. Call Ethos at 407.385.6166, or use the website's consultation form to share what you are planning. Providing the equipment category and project location helps frame the conversation.
Hyperbaric chambers
What is the difference between a soft-shell and a hard-shell Hyperbaric chamber?
A soft-shell chamber uses a flexible enclosure; a hard-shell chamber uses a rigid enclosure. Pressure ratings, access, dimensions, oxygen-delivery arrangements and operating requirements depend on the specific model. Shell type alone does not establish treatment suitability or clinical equivalence.
Do all Hyperbaric chambers operate at the same pressure?
No. Compare the documented operating pressure for the exact model and configuration rather than assuming all chambers are interchangeable. Also review oxygen delivery, intended use and operating instructions with the appropriate qualified professional.
What does ATA mean in a Hyperbaric specification?
ATA means atmospheres absolute: pressure expressed relative to a standard atmosphere, including normal atmospheric pressure. A chamber's stated ATA rating is a pressure specification, not an oxygen concentration or a measure of guaranteed benefit.
How much space do I need for a Hyperbaric chamber?
Check the chamber's installed dimensions, access route and required service clearances, not just its footprint. Doorways, turns, floor conditions, utilities, ventilation and associated equipment can affect placement. Request the model's installation documentation before preparing the room.
Can a Hyperbaric chamber be installed in a home?
Suitability depends on the exact model, intended use, site conditions, applicable requirements and the proposed operating arrangements. Do not assume a chamber is suitable for unsupervised home use. Review medical suitability with a licensed clinician and installation requirements with the relevant qualified professionals.
Electric cryotherapy chambers
Which electric cryotherapy brands does Ethos partner with?
MECOTEC is one of a few electric cryotherapy brands that Ethos partners with. Ask which brands and models are available for your project, and compare options against your intended use, space and operating requirements. Confirm the proposed model and configuration against current manufacturer documentation.
Do electric cryotherapy chambers require liquid nitrogen?
Electrically refrigerated cryotherapy chambers cool the air without liquid nitrogen. Installation requirements and operating procedures vary by brand and model. Nitrogen-free operation does not remove the need for health screening, trained operation, or compliance with the manufacturer's safety requirements.
What is the difference between chamber air temperature and a real-feel rating?
Air temperature describes the actual temperature of the chamber air. A manufacturer real-feel or windchill rating describes a different exposure condition and should not be read as the physical room temperature. Compare like-for-like measurements when evaluating models.
Is electric cryotherapy suitable for everyone?
No. Cold exposure requires screening and adherence to the device's contraindications and operating protocol. Uncontrolled high blood pressure means treatment must not proceed. If suitability or blood-pressure control is uncertain, do not proceed; obtain medical clearance before reconsidering treatment.
What should I check before planning a cryotherapy installation?
Review the model's electrical supply, cooling, ventilation, access and service-space requirements with the installer and manufacturer. The room also needs to support the required operating and safety procedures. A room's ceiling height alone does not establish suitability.
Red light and near-infrared technology
What is a red light therapy bed?
A red light bed delivers specified wavelengths of light over a large treatment area. Depending on the model, its output may include red and near-infrared wavelengths. Compare the documented wavelength, output, exposure conditions and intended use for the exact device.
Is a red light bed the same as a tanning bed?
No. Tanning relies on ultraviolet light, while red and near-infrared light occupy different parts of the light spectrum. Review the device's documented light output and safety instructions rather than treating it as a tanning system.
Is more red light exposure always better?
No. More exposure does not necessarily produce a greater desired biological response. Appropriate dosing depends on the device, exposure conditions and intended application. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and qualified clinical guidance where applicable rather than extending sessions arbitrarily.
How should I compare red light devices?
Compare wavelengths, measured output at a stated distance, exposure coverage, controls, cooling and intended use. LED count or a single intensity figure does not establish clinical effectiveness. Ask how specifications were measured and avoid comparing figures obtained under different conditions.
Dry float beds
Do I get wet during a ZeroBody Dry Float session?
The user rests on a membrane supported by water rather than being immersed in the water. The water remains within the system. Follow the model's operating instructions for clothing, hygiene and preparing the equipment.
Does “dry float” mean the equipment contains no water?
No. Dry refers to the user's experience, not the absence of water inside the equipment. The model's documentation should be used to confirm filling, maintenance and installation requirements.
What should I compare when choosing a dry float bed?
Compare dimensions, user capacity, access, service requirements and the options documented for the exact configuration. Lighting, vibromassage and other options should be identified in the quotation; do not assume every pictured feature is included.
Other technology questions
How is an infrared sauna different from a traditional sauna?
Infrared and traditional saunas use different methods to deliver heat. An infrared system uses infrared emitters; a traditional sauna heats the space using a sauna heater. Compare the exact equipment's documented operating conditions, installation requirements and intended use rather than assuming identical experiences.
What should I consider when comparing cold plunge systems?
Review temperature control, capacity, filtration, sanitation, water-care requirements and expected usage. Installation access, drainage and electrical requirements also matter. A lower minimum temperature alone does not make a system the right choice for every user or facility.
What does the Frequency & Energy category include?
Ethos groups technologies such as pulsed electromagnetic fields and other energy-based systems under this category. These are distinct technologies with different operating principles and intended uses. Review the individual device documentation; category placement does not establish availability, regulatory status or suitability.
What does mechanotransduction mean?
Mechanotransduction describes how cells respond to mechanical forces through biological signalling. The Ethos category includes technology types such as vibration, shockwave and compression, but these are not interchangeable treatments. Compare individual equipment and protocols, and confirm which products are currently available.
Financing
Does Ethos offer an equipment-financing enquiry option?
Yes. The Financing page provides a form for discussing equipment-financing options. Submitting an enquiry is not a loan approval or a promise of particular terms.
Who is the financing partner?
The current Ethos Financing page identifies Brickhouse Equipment Financing as the financing partner. Ask for the current provider and applicable program details when discussing your project.
Can financing include shipping or installation costs?
Ask whether the proposed financing arrangement can include freight, installation or other project costs. Eligibility and included costs must be confirmed for your specific application; do not assume all quoted services will be financed.
Are financing rates, approval and monthly payments guaranteed?
No guaranteed rate, approval or payment should be inferred from submitting an enquiry or using a payment calculator. Review the lender's written offer for the actual rate, term, fees, payment schedule and conditions before committing.
Shipping, delivery and installation
Can equipment be shipped to my location?
Provide the destination city, state or region, and postal code with your enquiry so delivery availability can be checked. Confirm the destination and delivery scope in writing before ordering, particularly for remote or international locations.
Is shipping included in the equipment price?
Do not assume freight is included. Ask the quotation to identify shipping and delivery charges, along with any unloading, rigging or special-access services.
How long will delivery take?
Request the current estimated lead time for the exact model and configuration. Stock status, production, transit, any customs requirements and site readiness can affect timing. Confirm the estimate and what could change it before scheduling work around delivery.
Does delivery include bringing the equipment inside and placing it?
Confirm the delivery service level before ordering. Curbside delivery, inside delivery and equipment placement involve different responsibilities. Ask who supplies the people and equipment needed for unloading, moving and positioning the unit.
Is installation or commissioning included?
The written quotation should identify who is responsible for installation, utility connections, commissioning and any operator training. Confirm which services are included, optional or arranged separately before purchase.
What should I check before my equipment arrives?
Review doorway and elevator dimensions, turns, floor conditions, utilities and the manufacturer's required clearances. Confirm delivery access and any planned lifting or rigging with qualified professionals. Site preparation should follow the documentation for the model being delivered.
Warranty, maintenance and support
What warranty comes with my equipment?
Request the written warranty for the exact model before placing an order. Confirm the warranty provider, coverage period, included parts and labor, service location and any exclusions. Do not assume the same terms apply to every brand or configuration.
Does a warranty cover routine maintenance and consumable items?
Check the written terms. Routine maintenance, consumables, wear items, misuse and damage may be treated differently from covered defects. Confirm the maintenance schedule and any documentation required to preserve coverage.
Who should I contact if I need service or support?
Contact Ethos at 407.385.6166 to discuss the issue and confirm the correct service channel for your model. Have the model, serial number, purchase details and a description of the issue available. Stop use if a fault could affect safety, and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Is operator training available?
Ask which training, manuals and commissioning services are available for the model you are purchasing, and whether they are included or separately arranged. Purchasing equipment does not replace required professional qualifications, clinical oversight or operator competency.
Can any of these technologies guarantee a health or recovery result?
No particular individual outcome should be assumed or guaranteed. Results, suitability and evidence vary by technology and application. Equipment marketing is not a substitute for individual medical advice, and manufacturer specifications alone are not proof of clinical benefit.
